Job Title: Registered Nurse - San Antonio

South Texas Community Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in San Antonio. As a RN, you will provide HCS (Home and Community-Based Services) nursing coordination to individuals with intellectual disabilities in group home and natural home settings.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a RN who is passionate about promoting the independence of people with disabilities. As a RN, you will work closely with our team to provide comprehensive and focused nursing assessments, train unlicensed personnel, and manage medication supplies. You will also coordinate medical appointments, manage medical emergencies, and provide over-the-phone triage.

Responsibilities:
  • Comprehensive and Focused Nursing Assessments
  • Training of Unlicensed Personnel
  • Medication Management and Administration
  • Documentation of Care for 6 hours per day
  • Medical Tasks and Care
  • Medical Emergency Management
  • Over-the-Phone Triage
  • Medication Supplies Management
  • Medical Appointments Coordination
  • General Nursing Quality
  • Narrative RN Notes
Requirements:
  • Valid RN License Required
  • Valid and Current Texas Driver's License
  • Clear Background Check
  • Clear DMV Check
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Proof of Education
  • No Confirmation of Abuse/Neglect/Exploitation of an Elderly or Disabled Person
  • No History of Medicaid Fraud
  • Experience Working with People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (Group Home Experience Preferred)
  • Strong Communication and Team-Participation Skills; Friendly, Positive Attitude
  • General Computer Skills (Not Necessarily Expert); Be Able to Use Word, Excel, Outlook, and General Internet Navigation
  • Must Have Excellent Time Management Skills
  • Must Be Capable of Multi-Tasking in a Fast-Paced Environment
  • HCS (Home Community Services) Knowledge Preferred
