GENERAL FUNCTION

The Optical Specialist plays a crucial role in embodying the brand's values and establishing LensCrafters as the leading destination for vision solutions in the community. This position is focused on delivering outstanding customer service and providing high-quality eyewear that surpasses customer expectations.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Warmly greets all customers, ensuring they feel welcomed and informed about the services provided.
  • Customizes eyewear fittings and accurately places prescriptions in lenses.
  • Acts as a knowledgeable resource for associates, demonstrating leadership in optical expertise.
  • Records precise measurements and adjusts eyewear to meet customer specifications.
  • Engages potential customers and addresses their vision needs through open-ended inquiries.
  • Maintains attention to detail, asking clarifying questions and reviewing prescriptions for accuracy.
  • Supports colleagues with complex product inquiries and prescription challenges.
  • Utilizes store resources effectively while adhering to brand commitments.
  • Delivers thorough and accurate service, demonstrating extensive product knowledge.
  • Proactively identifies and resolves customer issues, ensuring satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
  • Manages multiple tasks efficiently while prioritizing customer needs.
  • Commits to deadlines and actively seeks feedback to improve service delivery.
  • Aims to achieve exceptional results on brand performance indicators.
  • Celebrates customer achievements during product pick-up.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • ABO Certification.
  • Experience in optical dispensing.
  • Strong customer service skills, including effective communication and teamwork.
  • Familiarity with current merchandise and fashion trends.
  • Proficient basic math skills.
  • Ability to utilize technology, including tablets and POS systems.
  • Willingness to embrace new technologies and adapt to change.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in customer service and retail environments.

PAY RANGE:

Compensation is determined by various factors, including experience, qualifications, and local wage standards. A competitive bonus and/or commission plan may also be offered, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare, retirement savings, paid time off, and employee discounts.
