We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join our estate and probate division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Louisiana succession and probate matters, with a minimum of three years of experience.

• Drafting and Preparing Pleadings: The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and preparing pleadings to open, administer, and close estates.
• Conducting Legal Research: Conducting thorough legal research to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
• Drafting Legal Memoranda: Drafting legal memoranda in support of or in opposition to motions.
• Conducting Discovery: Conducting discovery, including taking and defending depositions.
• Managing Case Calendar: Managing case calendars and adhering to deadlines.
• Making Court Appearances: Making all necessary court appearances relative to motions and hearings.
• Effective Communication: Effectively communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and other team members.
• Delivering Excellent Customer Service: Delivering excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintaining Professionalism: Maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor at all times.

• Admission to Practice: Must be admitted to practice in Louisiana.
• Good Standing: Must be in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar Association.
• Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in Louisiana succession and probate matters.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to work with legal technology.
• Knowledge of Legal Terminology: Knowledge of legal terminology and court systems.
• Litigation Management Software: Working knowledge of litigation management software systems is a plus.
• Office Equipment: Working knowledge of office equipment.
• English Proficiency: Proficiency in English.
• Strong Work Ethic: Strong work ethic, outstanding time management and typing skills.
