Position Overview

Role Summary

In this role, you will work under close supervision to conduct fundamental data research and financial evaluations that aid in business operations, presenting your insights to your supervisor or project lead.

You will assist in the formulation of business, financial, and data analyses, developing solutions to address challenges related to business operations. Your responsibilities will include gathering and interpreting data to assess trends and outcomes.

- Conduct basic analyses and generate reports by collaborating with Inventory Management, Information Systems, Financial Audit, and other departments within the organization.

- Evaluate scorecards to provide insights into trends or unexpected performance. Assess market strategies, related products, and market share trends. - Structure plans and suggest basic analyses and reports aligned with ongoing processes and procedures. Propose, develop, and implement standardized reporting for routine business documentation. - Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of data utilized in analyses and reporting. Notify relevant personnel of any data discrepancies. Gather business intelligence from available industry reports, public information, field reports, or purchased sources. - Ensure follow-up to guarantee that analysis and reporting results are reviewed and acted upon. - Support the unit or department by executing specific individual tasks. Carry out due diligence and transition activities as necessary. - Maintain and/or refresh business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methodologies.

Education Requirements - A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Applied Statistics.

Relevant Experience - Proficient in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., using SUM functions, setting borders, adjusting column widths, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, and managing headers and footers).

- Proficient in Microsoft Access at an intermediate level (e.g., designing and creating simple queries, modifying data types, adding dates, working with required fields, and creating labels).

Preferred Qualifications - Experience applying standard financial, accounting, and business problem-solving skills to multifaceted business challenges.

- Experience in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volumes. - Experience in an analytical capacity within a sales environment. - Familiarity with SAP; experience with FoxPro and Visual Basic is a plus. - Experience in financial analysis and data reporting.
