We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Optum, a leading health services company. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the dispensing of medical prescriptions and performing various clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

About the Role:

• Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff
• Fulfill prescription orders and ensure accuracy under pharmacist supervision
• Order, receive, and store pharmacy supplies
• Process wholesaler medication orders and maintain inventory records
• Work collaboratively with pharmacists to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
• Perform various administrative tasks related to the department
• Communicate effectively through strong verbal and written skills
• Prepare medications for packaging and delivery (less than 10% of time)

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Illinois
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in an onsite setting
• 1+ years of prescription data entry experience
• Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual Spanish
• Retail Pharmacy Technician experience

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $ $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide opportunities for professional growth and development, a comprehensive benefits package, and a sign-on bonus for external candidates.
