Job Summary:

Methodist Family Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality care to adolescents and children in a psychiatric setting. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in maintaining a therapeutic environment, assessing patient needs, and developing individualized care plans. Your expertise will be essential in promoting the physical and emotional well-being of our patients, and your passion for delivering exceptional care will make a significant difference in their lives.

Responsibilities:

Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team

Maintain a therapeutic environment through proper use of the Teaching-Family model of care and implementation of the treatment plan

Engage patients in therapeutic communications, including one-on-one interactions and group sessions

Complete bio-psychosocial physical assessments and develop age-specific and developmentally appropriate plans of care

Assess patient/family education and discharge needs, with the interdisciplinary team

Develop and lead interdisciplinary care conferences in collaboration with the healthcare team

Communicate plans of care to other members of the healthcare team

Document assessments, interventions, and responses to care

Utilize leadership skills through mentoring, preempting, teaching, delegating, and coaching members of the healthcare team

Requirements:

Arkansas Licensed Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing

Current Arkansas Registered Nurse license

Experience with adolescents and children in a psychiatric setting preferred

Ability to lift and hold at least 50 pounds for one minute

Requires the strength and stamina to perform clinical duties

Must be physically capable of sitting and standing for several hours at a time

Must have good auditory, visual, and olfactory ability

Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls

Must be able to maintain effective audio, visual discrimination, and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading and writing, and operating office equipment and other treatment equipment

Must be willing and able to work with all patients of Methodist Family Health

Flu shot is mandatory and required for all positions (subject to qualified exemptions)
