Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Create and implement tailored IEPs that cater to the unique needs of students with disabilities.
  • Provide Direct Instruction and Support: Offer direct instruction and support to students in both general education and special education settings.
  • Collaborate with Educational Professionals: Work closely with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best educational outcomes for students.
  • Monitor and Assess Student Progress: Regularly monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to meet individual goals.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and confidential records related to student progress and IEP documentation.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Current Indiana teaching license in Special Education or eligibility for licensure.
  • Experience and Skills: Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
