Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing x-ray machinery to capture images of designated body areas.
  • Modifying equipment settings to achieve optimal imaging results.
  • Communicating procedures to patients and addressing their inquiries.
  • Positioning patients with the aid of immobilization devices.
  • Supporting Physicians during imaging procedures.
  • Monitoring and documenting patient information using computerized systems.
  • Recognizing and catering to the specific needs of patients based on their age.
  • Training and mentoring new staff members.
  • Implementing safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Ensuring a secure environment for the administration of contrast materials.
  • Assisting with patient transport as needed.
  • Adhering to safety guidelines and utilizing protective equipment when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Radiography program.
  • ARRT Certification is required.
  • Possession of a current Texas medical imaging license.
  • Basic Life Support Certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • One year of experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
