About the Role

CoreCivic is currently seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Treatment Specialist to join their team at the Austin Transitional Center in Texas. This role will be responsible for providing high-quality treatment services to individuals struggling with substance abuse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interview and assess prospective program participants, gathering relevant data using standardized screening and assessment instruments.
  • Establish rapport with participants and determine individual needs based on results of assessments and collateral sources.
  • Facilitate individual and group treatment interventions, adhering to CoreCivic partner agencies' guidelines, prevailing state regulations, and established protocols.
  • Maintain confidentiality of clinical files, including intake documents, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Monitor inmate progress, track treatment plans, and review status to ensure completion of therapeutic programs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • TX LCDC certification required.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
