Senior Contract Specialist, Procurement

As a Contract Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of contracts, as well as shepherding them through the final documentation and approval processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select and utilize appropriate contract templates for vendor negotiations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and policies.
- Organize and manage the redlining process, coordinating with Legal and other Shared Services to ensure accurate and timely revisions of legal terms.
- Partner closely with Category Managers and Legal teams to establish contracting policies early in vendor engagement, ensuring clarity on non-negotiable terms.
- Draft, redline, and execute various contractual documents, including MSAs, Amendments, SOWs, change orders, and renewals, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor the contract lifecycle and provide regular status updates to business stakeholders, ensuring transparency and proactive management of contract timelines.
- Collaborate with Shared Services to finalize contracts using organizational templates and standard Terms and Conditions, with a focus on reducing contractual risk.
- Lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Contract Management Services, driving continuous improvement within the contracting process.
Key Competencies:
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Skill in translating business requirements into legal terms, identifying potential risks, and managing contract dependencies to create robust legal agreements that protect and further McKesson's interests.
- Negotiation: Proficiency in negotiating terms, exploring alternatives, and influencing outcomes to achieve mutually beneficial agreements that align with McKesson's strategic goals.
- Customer Relationship Management: Ability to understand, define, and support McKesson's inter-business operations while fostering strong, collaborative relationships between S&P and its business partners.
- Category Management (Indirect Procurement): Ability to partner with Category Managers to drive value through supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, and vendor management.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum of 4-year degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Law.
- Experience: 4+ years of Supply Chain/Sourcing/Contract Negotiation experience.
- Experience negotiating/managing commercial contracts.
