About Century Contractors

We are a leading provider of piping services for commercial construction projects, and we're looking for an experienced Piping Estimator to join our team.

Job Summary:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and coordinating the preparation of full estimates on large and complex projects.
  • They will review and evaluate RFQs, RFPs, and Bid Documents to ensure accurate and complete bids.
  • Key duties include reviewing construction documents, understanding scope of work, executing quick-pen take-offs, obtaining pricing for materials, and developing cost analysis in computer systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and expertise.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as bid front ends, scopes of work, blueprints, safety programs, and QA/QC manuals.
  • Proficiency in Quick-pen software (or similar estimating systems) is strongly encouraged.
  • Experience with estimating techniques and cost control is essential.
  • Ability to perform detailed labor and material take-offs is required.
