About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Buca di Beppo, a vibrant restaurant company known for its eclectic vintage setting and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality food that meets our company's standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare all menu items to specification, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe line area, adhering to all kitchen rules and policies.
  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
  • Estimate expected food consumption, requisition supplies, and procure food from storage as needed.
  • Set up the line according to kitchen guidelines and par sheets.
  • Pre-cut ingredients to reduce preparation time for dishes.
  • Check kitchen equipment to ensure it is operational.
  • Stock stations to par levels and check for equipment and tools.
  • Memorize ingredients and portion sizes for menu items.
  • Wrap, date, and refrigerate food as required.
  • Sanitize cutting boards and organize station shelves.
  • Hand-clean knives and participate in line checks to ensure quality products are served.
  • Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-ins, and storage areas.
  • Wash hands frequently and use kitchen utensils, knives, and equipment safely.
  • Work as a team and use positive communication skills.
  • Clean, stock, and maintain the line throughout the shift.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of cooking experience in a high-volume restaurant is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation procedures.
