Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for performing cash transactions, verifying cash drawers, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform sales transactions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Enter all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded
  • Make change, accept declining balance cards, and other acceptable forms of payment
  • Issue receipts to customers and follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner
  • Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring compliance with overage/shortage standards
  • Observe customer purchases and differentiate between standard portions
  • Replenish condiments, coffee, and other beverages while maintaining cleanliness of service areas
  • Keep pastry case stocked and ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements
Requirements:
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
