About the Role
This position is designed for recent graduates of a school of nursing who are looking to gain experience in a fast-paced emergency department setting. As a Nurse Graduate, you will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and will be responsible for performing routine procedures, documenting patient information, and assisting with patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Registered Nurse in patient status evaluation by reporting patient information such as vital signs or response to nursing actions.
- Perform routine procedures taught within the nurse graduate's generic nursing program.
- Administer medications under the direct supervision of an RN.
- Perform CPR as needed.
- Follow institutional infection control guidelines.
- Follow established institutional/unit policies and procedures to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (RN) is required.
- Must complete the initial examination within 90 days of completing the school nursing program.
