Janitorial Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Janitorial/Custodian to join our team at EBS-4U INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment in our commercial kitchen and floor care facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commercial sweeping, mopping, and cleaning of floors
• Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, walk-in freezers, and storage areas
• Commercial vacuuming and shampooing of carpets
• Removing trash and other refuse
• Cleaning dining room and prep room
• Dusting equipment, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces
• Cleaning glass and mirrors
• Cleaning lavatories and other bathroom fixtures
• Reporting need for repairs to equipment
• Performing heavy cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, burnishing, stripping, and waxing of floors
• Walls cleaning
• Performing routine floor maintenance tasks such as stripping, refinishing hard and resilient flooring, and other surfaces
• Organizing custodial closets and spaces
• Maintaining working condition of cleaning equipment

Requirements:

• Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or related fields
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Certified Executive Housekeeper (C.E.H.) is a plus
• Ability to speak and read fluently in English

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced commercial kitchen and floor care environment, with frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment. The candidate must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, prolong standing, squatting, walking, and frequent bending.

Pay and Schedule:

The hourly pay rate is $24.12-$26.00 per hour, depending on experience. The candidate will work 30-40 hours per week, spread out to cover 7 days a week, including holidays. The candidate shall generally perform all work between the hours of 7:00pm-3:30am and 7:30pm-4am.
