Position Overview:

Comply with hospital policies and care philosophies. Conduct MRI examinations autonomously, administer intravenous medications, and maintain imaging equipment. Candidates must possess the necessary education and certifications.

Qualifications:

Graduate from an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program. Valid Washington State RT license, BLS certification, and ARRT registration are required. A minimum of 2 years of MRI experience is preferred.

Required Skills:

Proficient understanding of MRI physics, human anatomy, and venipuncture techniques. Ability to operate high-strength magnets and provide appropriate patient care.

Work Environment:

Adhere to safety regulations regarding hazardous materials. Operate medical imaging equipment and be prepared for potential exposure to communicable diseases. Engage with patients, colleagues, and the public.

Physical Requirements:

Must be capable of hearing and following instructions, maneuvering equipment, and lifting items up to 15 lbs. This role is supervised by the Manager of Imaging Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate diagnostic imaging as requested
  • Execute MRI examinations independently
  • Administer IVs and support MRI safety education
  • Identify and respond to patient conditions
  • Ensure the proper functioning of equipment and adherence to safety protocols
  • Stay informed about imaging policies
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives
  • Deliver patient care in accordance with established standards
  • Assist in the development and revision of policies
  • Exhibit courteous and respectful conduct
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement.
