Job Description

Position Overview

The Inventory Receiver is responsible for accurately accepting deliveries from various carriers and ensuring that products are stored in designated areas to facilitate efficient order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unload incoming shipments from carriers, including UPS and FedEx, using warehouse machinery such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Inspect received merchandise to confirm it is in satisfactory condition prior to acknowledging receipt.
  • Process hardware check-ins utilizing Purchase Orders, Packing Lists, and the company’s inventory management system.
  • Organize Special Orders and transfer items to appropriate locations within the warehouse, updating the inventory system accordingly.
  • Restock inventory locations with newly received products.
  • Handle transfers from other warehouses for both stock and special orders.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic familiarity with warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and power pallet jacks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Fundamental understanding of product terminology is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in using computers in a Windows/Google-based environment.
  • Forklift certification or a willingness to obtain certification.
  • Successful completion of a drug screening and physical examination.

Work Environment

This position is set in a warehouse environment subject to varying temperatures. Duties may involve bending, kneeling, twisting, squatting, reaching overhead, standing, walking, and occasional climbing. Regularly lifting weights between 10-60 lbs and occasionally exceeding 100 lbs is required.
