Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Dedicated SOLO Class A CDL Yard Truck Operator to join our team at Ryder.

Compensation and Schedule

  • Weekly Pay
  • Hourly Rate: $26.00
  • Shift Premium: $1.00
  • Average Weekly Hours: 40+
  • Paid Training Provided
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, No Weekends
  • Typical Start Time: 3:30 PM; Average Shift Duration: 8 Hours

Job Responsibilities

  • Yard Driving Duties
  • Local Route with Daily Home Time
  • Equipment: Day Cab or Yard Truck; Both Automatic and Manual Options Available
  • Trailer Type: 53' Dry Van
  • Freight Type: No Touch General Freight

Our fleet consists of trucks that are 36 months or newer, equipped with 24/7 Roadside Assistance. Company drivers have access to over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide for refueling.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Pass a Drug Test
  • Pass Background and Motor Vehicle Checks
  • Pass a DOT Physical Examination
  • Pass a Ryder Road Test
  • Hold a Valid Class A CDL with Necessary Endorsements
  • Minimum Experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years
  • Ability to Follow Instructions and Interpret Regulations
