We are looking for a driven and skilled IT Consultant specializing in Microservices to enhance our dynamic team. This role is crucial in steering the design and execution of a strategic initiative aimed at deconstructing our existing monolithic applications and transitioning to a microservices framework. The consultant will engage with clients to identify needs or challenges, conduct thorough research, and analyze issues to provide informed recommendations, leveraging expertise in a specific discipline or field of specialization. Furthermore, this position will lead a new software development project focused on an innovative cloud-native application. The IT Consultant will be responsible for architecting, developing, and implementing application infrastructure to deliver highly complex, reliable, and scalable systems that align with the organization's goals and requirements. Familiarity with a diverse range of application technologies, environments, concepts, methodologies, practices, and procedures is essential, as is the ability to rely on experience and judgment to achieve objectives. Candidates should possess substantial experience in JAVA (including Restful APIs, Node Angular, AWS Cloud concepts, Microservices, SOAP web services, JSON) and demonstrate the capability to perform a variety of complex tasks with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop a comprehensive strategy for migrating our monolithic applications to a microservices architecture, including service decomposition, communication protocols, containerization strategies, and API design principles.
  2. Lead the design and development of new cloud-native applications using microservices principles and best practices, ensuring the selection of appropriate technology stacks and maintaining code quality.
  3. Collaborate with developers to implement the microservices architecture for existing applications, focusing on API design, microservices development, and system integration.
  4. Possess a deep understanding of modern distributed systems concepts, containerization technologies (Docker), and API gateways.
  5. Effectively communicate intricate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, working closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to ensure successful project delivery.
  6. Establish priorities and schedules, overseeing and reviewing the work of systems analysis and programming personnel.
  7. Review feasibility studies and time/cost estimates for new or revised systems.
  8. Assist in developing standards, procedures, and operational systems applications.
  9. Work with stakeholders and management to ensure timely project completion in accordance with organizational standards.
  10. Consult with personnel in other information systems groups to coordinate activities.

Participate in developing project plans and schedules with key milestones, contingency plans, and workflow diagrams.

Manage the conversion of workflow charts into processable computer language and oversee the entry of program codes and test data.

Analyze test runs on computers and supervise the correction of coded programs and input data.

Oversee the revision of existing programs to enhance operational efficiency or adapt to new requirements.

Compile documentation for program development and subsequent revisions.

Train colleagues in systems analysis, feasibility studies, programming, and coding.

Establish standards for terms and symbols to simplify program interpretation.

Collaborate with computer manufacturers and other users to develop innovative programming methods.

Prepare records and reports.

Required / Desired Skills Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Experience in software development with a strong focus on microservices architecture.

Required 7 Years year college degree in computer science or related field with advanced study preferred.

Required Experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks in Java Required 7 Years Intermediate/advanced knowledge of the AWS services Required Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages (Java JavaScript, Angular).
