Restaurant Manager Job Description

At Lou Malnati's Pizzeria, we're seeking a skilled Restaurant Manager to lead our team and deliver exceptional customer experiences. As a Restaurant Manager, you'll be responsible for shaping the culture of our restaurant, driving sales growth, and ensuring seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Foster a positive and productive team environment, promoting employee engagement and guest satisfaction.
  • Financial Management: Assist in achieving budgeted financial goals, including income, sales, and costs.
  • Staff Development: Interview, hire, train, and develop team members in all aspects of the business, maintaining performance appraisals, discipline, and termination.
  • Customer Experience: Work with team members to create a positive guest experience, addressing needs and concerns in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Scheduling: Schedule team members efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Cash Management: Implement and supervise responsible and ethical cash management, including daily cash income deposits.
  • Inventory and Maintenance: Maintain inventory, purchasing, and receiving, adhering to company standards.
  • Sanitation and Cleanliness: Ensure the restaurant meets sanitation and cleanliness guidelines.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain high-quality service and food.
  • Store Preparation: Ensure the location is prepared for daily business needs, including setup in all areas.
  • Meetings and Delegation: Attend required meetings and delegate responsibilities with approval from the General Manager or District Manager.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • Ability to freely access all areas of the restaurant, including dining room, kitchen, bar, office, phone area, delivery area, and stock area.
  • Ability to stand, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, and move about the facility; ability to stand approximately 90% of the workday; manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift, move, or handle goods throughout the location, generally weighing 0-80 pounds.
Education and/or Training:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; bachelor's degree a plus.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of restaurant experience.
  • Required to read and write English, follow, and assign verbal and written instructions and use math.
  • Training in all aspects of the restaurant, including waiting tables, prep work, steam, and pizza.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of Company products, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to speak Spanish a plus.
