About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Sheetmetal Technician to join our team at Sierra Nevada Corporation. As a key member of our aircraft repair team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to sheetmetal fabrication, repair, and modification.
Responsibilities:
- Perform sheetmetal fabrication, repair, and modification tasks on aircraft components
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical schematics, and service bulletins
- Operate hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance functions
- Work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and quality
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and 15+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in confined spaces
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification
- Previous experience in a lead position
- Experience with computerized maintenance manuals
