About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Spot & Tango. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee all maintenance support to factory equipment and general facility maintenance
  • Supervise and coach maintenance technicians to ensure execution of maintenance tasks in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner
  • Implement and maintain a safe work environment for all employees
  • Perform planning and scheduling of maintenance work while minimizing equipment downtime
  • Design and coordinate preventative maintenance plans and implement preventative and predictive maintenance solutions
  • Develop and oversee storeroom strategy and spare parts management; monitor and reorder spare parts as needed
  • Partner with production leadership to help equipment operators develop autonomous maintenance capabilities
  • Establish and maintain SOPs for all maintenance-related activities
  • Oversee long-term planning and budgeting for all maintenance and continuous improvement projects
  • Establish and maintain close relationships with OEMs; collaborate with their internal engineering and maintenance teams when necessary
  • Maintain high employee engagement, communicate factory strategy, successes, and challenges, and cultivate Spot & Tango's culture within the maintenance department
  • Help coordinate shift patterns and maintenance scheduling to ensure plant production runs smoothly and efficiently
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 3 years of people management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Project management experience
  • Understanding of reliability principles (e.g., MTBF, RCA)
  • Experience in computerized maintenance management systems (e.g., ERP, MRP)
  • Experience hiring maintenance technicians preferred
  • Experience working with freeze driers and/or refrigeration equipment a plus
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline preferred
  • Dog lovers a plus
