About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Perioperative Specialist - Surgical Technologist to join our team at St. Luke's Health System in Sun Valley, Idaho.

Job Summary: As a Perioperative Specialist - Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient-centered care in our operating room environment. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless surgical procedures and provide a safe and supportive experience for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during surgical procedures
  • Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols
  • Prepare and arrange surgical instruments and equipment
  • Monitor and manage anesthesia and pain management
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in perioperative care

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or certification preferred
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Tech in Surgery - Certified (CST-NCCT) by National Center Competency Testing (NCCT)
