Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation, a leading commercial real estate financial intermediary, is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Real Estate Investment Analyst to support its top-producing debt and equity origination teams. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in originating and executing financing transactions, conducting financial modeling, market and sponsor due diligence, and assisting with the creation of offering memoranda.

Based on industry standards and location, we estimate this position to offer a salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 plus discretionary bonus potential. This compensation package may vary based on factors such as experience within the industry, education, and performance. Marcus & Millichap is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.

About the Role
  • Assist in the preparation of engagement agreements to facilitate smooth transaction execution.
  • Review and input property rent rolls, leases, and operating statements to ensure accurate financial assessments.
  • Prepare comprehensive historical financial analysis, financial models, and assist in the underwriting of transactions to inform informed investment decisions.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective and existing clients using various data sources to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Research local real estate markets to stay up-to-date on trends, identify emerging opportunities, and anticipate potential challenges.
  • Prepare key sections of the offering memorandum to effectively communicate investment opportunities.
  • Request and coordinate transaction documentation to ensure timely and efficient closings.
  • Follow up with clients, prospective buyers, and investors on issues related to transaction closings to maintain exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure all required closing documentation is accurately posted to internal systems.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate advisory, banking, or valuation.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or commercial real estate.
  • Superior financial modeling skills utilizing Excel and Argus.
  • High attention to detail in analytical assessments and valuations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and productively during time-sensitive situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a collaborative team player attitude.
  • Flexible attitude with the ability to handle change effectively.
  • Availability for North American travel.
