Job Summary:
As a Bus Driver for College Station ISD, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and orderly transportation of students to and from schools. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on our community while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a school bus safely and efficiently, adhering to established schedules and routes.
- Conduct daily inspections of the bus to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues or damage to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of bus mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and teachers, responding promptly to their needs and concerns.
- Work collaboratively with transportation staff to ensure seamless operations and address any challenges that arise.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge as a bus driver.

Requirements:
- Valid Texas commercial driver's license (Class B) or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to pass alcohol and drug tests, complete required bus driver safety training, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be 18 years of age, able to communicate effectively, and possess knowledge of student discipline procedures.
- Experience working with children, handling emergency situations, and operating heavy equipment is preferred.

Working Conditions:
- Work outside and inside, with moderate exposure to extreme temperatures, vehicle fumes, and physical demands such as sitting, reaching, and repetitive hand and arm motions.
- Must be able to evacuate self and students from the bus in case of an emergency.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Estimated salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
