Certification and Licensure

Memorial Hospital of Carbondale requires certification in Radiology and MRI from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensure from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA). Additionally, CPR certification is necessary.

Job Responsibilities

The MRI Technologist will perform MRI scans, utilize the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) correctly, and assist with clerical and office duties to maintain department efficiency. They will also check the MRI schedule with the Radiologist to verify scan protocol and maintain IV/Contrast competency.

Requirements

An associate's degree in Radiology or certification is required. Technical experience of at least one year is preferred.

Schedule

The MRI Technologist will work every sixth week, one week at a time, with varying shifts including 10:30 PM-6:00 AM Monday through Thursday, 10:30 PM-7:00 AM Friday, 7:30 PM-7:00 AM Saturday, and 7:30 PM-6:00 AM Sunday. Additional shifts include Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM.
