Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Staff Today Inc. as a RN Long Term Care Specialist. This is a registry position with our company, and we are looking for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to provide high-quality care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments to assigned clients in accordance with agency policy and plan of care.
  • Assess clients to establish a comprehensive plan of care and reevaluate as necessary to ensure continued eligibility for services.
  • Provide care in accordance with agency policy, local, state, and federal laws, and plan of care.
  • Supervise and train home care aides to ensure high-quality care is provided to clients.
  • Accompany home care aides on supervisory visits with clients and safeguard clients' property.
  • Maintain clients' self-esteem, privacy, and confidentiality of personal information, complying with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Provide clients with opportunities for independence and choice consistent with their care plans.
  • Process and notify physicians of orders in a timely manner and direct and document care provided to clients.
  • Receive and share information, observe and report clients' conditions to appropriate staff, and explain procedures before and during care.
  • Direct and assist with client, family/significant other education and utilize appropriate bag techniques.
  • Report signs/symptoms of client infections to appropriate staff in a timely manner.
Basic Responsibilities

This position will be held accountable for complying with all related laws, regulations, company policies, and procedures pertaining to their position and for fulfilling their obligations under the facilities Corporate Compliance Program.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with at least one year of nursing experience.
  • Prior experience in like or related position preferred.
  • Licensure for state of practice is required.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
Skills/Abilities
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous home health experience preferred.
  • Required proficiency in Oasis completion.
  • Preferred experience in Netsmart EMR.
Knowledge

Basic ability to communicate and comprehend, ability to measure and comprehend certain quantities, knowledge of basic nursing skills, knowledge and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administered.
