Job Title: Firefighter

Join the City of Tulare, CA team as a Firefighter and be part of a dynamic and dedicated team of emergency responders. As a Firefighter, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing medical assistance, and protecting life and property. You will work closely with other emergency responders to ensure the safety of the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical assistance as needed.
  • Operate fire apparatus and equipment, including engines, trucks, and rescue vehicles.
  • Participate in fire suppression, rescue, and medical emergency operations.
  • Conduct fire safety inspections and provide education to the public on fire safety and prevention.
  • Collaborate with other emergency responders, including police and ambulance services.
Requirements:
  • Valid California driver's license.
  • Firefighter I certification.
  • Hazardous Materials First Responder Operations certification.
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
  • Chiefs' Physical Abilities Test (CPAT) certification.
