Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified HVAC/R Instructor to join our team at Northwood Technical College. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the HVAC/R program area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality instruction that meets the diverse needs of students.
  • Plan and implement curriculum that includes Employability Essentials and technical content to meet industry and/or regulatory standards.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to promote student success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve the overall quality and delivery of learning.
  • Embody and promote Northwood Tech's Values: Collaboration, Innovation, Excellence, Community, Support, Integrity, and Respect.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in the field or closely related field and 2 years (4,000 hours) of occupational experience, of which at least 1 year (2,000 hours) shall be within 5 years prior to the date of appointment.
  • 2-year technical diploma in the field or closely related field and 5 years (10,000 hours) of occupational experience, of which at least 1 year (2,000 hours) shall be within 5 years prior to the date of appointment.
  • Ability to obtain driver's license and insurance coverage in accordance with College policy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
Compensation

FY25 Salary - $44 / hour
