We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as an Estimator. The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD and Permit Drawing, as well as strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating piping and sheet metal construction projects, reviewing plans and specifications, and preparing RFIs and design/build proposals. They will also assist with project management, prepare shop and as-built CAD drawings, and develop project schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Estimate piping and sheet metal construction projects
  • Review plans and specifications for completeness
  • Prepare RFIs and design/build proposals
  • Assist with project management
  • Prepare shop and as-built CAD drawings
  • Develop project schedules
  • Obtain installation permits
  • Order equipment and materials
  • Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors
  • Perform postmortem analysis on completed projects
  • Manage project close-out documentation

Requirements:

  • PE license in the State of Illinois (preferred)
  • Experience with CAD and Permit Drawing
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00A.M to 4:00 P.M.
