About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic Specialist to join our team at Holliday Rock, a family-owned construction materials company with over 85 years of experience.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics, with experience working on heavy duty trucks and equipment. They should also be knowledgeable in areas such as air brakes, tires, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as a 401k retirement plan with company match, paid holidays, vacations, direct deposit, weekly payroll, and referral program.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on heavy duty trucks and equipment, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair problems with vehicle engines, emissions systems, transmissions, and other critical systems.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience working on heavy duty trucks and equipment.
  • Knowledge of air brakes and tires.
  • Training in hydraulics and electrical systems, suspension, steering, and wheel-end components, as well as drive train knowledge.
