Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in the Cuyahoga Falls, OH area. This position offers a range of benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Job Summary:

Maintain production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, presses, and production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for issues, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, hand tools, and power tools, and examining the form and texture of parts.
  • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts and using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  • Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
  • Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipts.
  • Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks.
  • Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
