**About the Role:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. This is a per diem position working as needed, with a TBD work schedule. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in a medical office setting and be certified as a CMA in the state of employment. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional patient care and support services.
- Enter accurate data for patient registration and insurance verification.
- Support physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in delivering high-quality medical care.
- Enter charges on patient accounts, register patients, and update patient records accurately.
- Verify insurance coverage and record statistics.
Requirements:
- BLS certification required.
- Experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification in the state of employment required.
