Salary Range: $198,140.8 - $242,153.6 per year

Job Summary:

The Medical Director plays a pivotal role in ensuring strict adherence to company and institutional security regulations, while providing essential documentation of medical services to the Regional or Corporate Medical Director.

About this Role:

  • Provides comprehensive medical care within a correctional facility, including examining referred patients and ensuring thorough problem-oriented documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Demonstrates clinical expertise by responding to emergencies, supervising and instructing healthcare personnel, and consulting with medical specialists to deliver high-quality care.
  • Collaborates with the Health Services Administrator to improve patient outcomes through continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

  • Medical school graduate.

Experience:

  • Experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Public Health is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Must have and maintain current licensure within the state of employment.
  • Maintains a current DEA number.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
  • Must maintain privileges and meet CME requirements for continued medical practice in the state.
