Amphenol High Speed Products Group is a market leader for high-speed, high-bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market. We are seeking a Quality Engineer to work in our Valley Green, PA office.

The Quality Engineer will provide quality leadership and support to the Operations area in achieving quality objectives and effective problem resolution. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing quality planning for components and products.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives to drive business growth and cost reduction.
  • Providing technical support for process control techniques, methods, and quality methodologies.
  • Conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Managing and reporting quality performance indices, including process capabilities, cost of quality, and outgoing quality levels.
  • Investigating customer complaints and implementing solutions with internal functions, suppliers, and other Company sites.
  • Performing regular auditing to ensure compliance with quality management system requirements.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through responsive complaint resolution.

Requirements include:

  • 5+ years' experience in Quality Assurance.
  • 5+ years' experience in a production environment.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve problems using 8D Problem Solving, Ishikawa Fishbone, and 5-Why methodologies.
  • Effective use of problem prevention tools, including Quality Planning, Poka Yoke, D-FMEA, P-FMEA, SPC, MSA, etc.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems standards (e.g. ISO 9001, TS 16949, etc).
  • Effective use of APQP methodologies, including MSA, FMEA, SPC, etc.
  • Basic SPC knowledge, including X-Bar/R Charting, Cp/Cpk, R&R, etc.
  • Internal auditing skills.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally when required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in connector/electronics manufacturing (desired).
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (preferred).
