Job Title: CADD TechnicianSTV Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled CADD Technician to join our Transportation Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and updating design plans, collaborating with engineers, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop detailed roadway and transportation plans using OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation.
- Generate cross-sections, construction drawings, and ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with civil engineers to translate design concepts into accurate CADD drawings and models.
- Perform quality checks to ensure all designs meet state DOT and federal standards while maintaining accuracy.
- Organize and maintain drawings and models using ProjectWise or similar document management systems.
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in drafting and designing for civil engineering projects.
- Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and MicroStation.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering design standards and specifications, particularly in roadway, transportation, and site development projects.
- Experience creating and modifying plan sets, cross-sections, and profiles in ORD and MicroStation.
- Familiarity with file management and organization within ProjectWise or similar document management systems.
- Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and design guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all deliverables.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and project managers.
