Job Title: CADD Technician

STV Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled CADD Technician to join our Transportation Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and updating design plans, collaborating with engineers, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed roadway and transportation plans using OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation.
  • Generate cross-sections, construction drawings, and ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with civil engineers to translate design concepts into accurate CADD drawings and models.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure all designs meet state DOT and federal standards while maintaining accuracy.
  • Organize and maintain drawings and models using ProjectWise or similar document management systems.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or technical certification in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in drafting and designing for civil engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and MicroStation.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering design standards and specifications, particularly in roadway, transportation, and site development projects.
  • Experience creating and modifying plan sets, cross-sections, and profiles in ORD and MicroStation.
  • Familiarity with file management and organization within ProjectWise or similar document management systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and design guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all deliverables.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and project managers.
