Per Diem Sonographer Opportunity

Reliant Medical Group, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a skilled Per Diem Sonographer to join our team. As a Per Diem Sonographer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform ultrasound studies, including diagnostic breast imaging and limited vascular studies, as assigned.
  • Obtain and review patient clinical history and related reports/documentation.
  • Obtain pertinent medical history, instruct patients regarding exam procedures and preparation.
  • Perform related clerical duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an AMA accredited ultrasound program or equivalent.
  • Certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • RDMS registered breast technologist, or become registered within 6 months of hire.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certified and maintain this certification during employment.
  • Demonstrated competency to perform ultrasound exams on newborns, children, adults, and geriatric patients, meeting all department guidelines.
  • Maintain all required continuing education credits and licensure during employment.
  • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position.
