Job Title: Subject Matter Expert

Vali Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled professional to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) as a subject matter expert in process improvement and management for the Department of Defense (DoD) budget and financial analysis.

Job Summary:

This position will provide support to the MDA in Huntsville, AL, assisting the DoD Budget/Financial Analysis Program office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with program office key leaders and stakeholders to understand current and future process requirements
  • Observe program office operations, document business processes, and validate policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures in accordance with DoD/MDA standards and governing documents
  • Identify root causes and blockers to process execution and recommend changes to policy, process, and procedures
  • Develop and champion change initiatives from conception to adoption
  • Support standardization of products, processes, policies, and procedures in cross-functional workspaces
  • Serve as process and policy subject matter expert in system design reviews
  • Write new employee orientation manual and onboarding procedures
  • Create and execute training programs for new employees
  • Execute and recommend changes to Manager's Internal Controls Program
Requirements:
  • BS/BA in business or related field
  • 15 years or greater of process and policy improvement and management experience
  • 15 years or greater of developing, writing, and conducting training
  • 15 years or greater of fiscal/financial policy experience
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • Applicants selected must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance upon hire date
Desired Experience:
  • MS/MA in business or related field with 10 years or greater of DoD Financial Analyst experience
  • Must work independently and conduct strategic high-level coordination activities
  • Must be a self-starter able to support multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office
