Additional expectations for this role include:

Adhering to standard working hours, meeting project deadlines, complying with company policies as detailed in the Employee Handbook, maintaining regular communication with designated supervisors, focusing on assigned responsibilities, and completing other tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop software enhancements to Jira-Confluence functionalities to meet client requirements.
  • Maintain and upgrade Jira-Confluence applications to facilitate the Department of the Navy's workflow and documentation integration.
  • Create tailored Jira-Confluence workflows and reports, ensuring they align with user specifications and are intuitive.
  • Engage with stakeholders to comprehend their needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Update and optimize Jira-Confluence applications and workflows to boost efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure all developments adhere to the Department of the Navy's cybersecurity standards and protocols.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to end-users regarding Jira-Confluence functionalities.

Essential Qualifications

  • CompTIA Security+ or IAM II or higher Certification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Java development, including JavaScript, Java Server Pages, and other programming technologies.
  • Proven expertise in Jira-Confluence.
  • Experience in front-end, back-end, and middleware development.
  • Proficiency in XML and JSON.
  • Knowledge of interfacing with SQL Server.
  • Secret Clearance required.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Software Development certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in military or government environments, particularly with the Department of the Navy.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
