We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthetist to join our team at Shenandoah Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest standards of anesthesia services.

• Administer general anesthetics to patients undergoing surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and take necessary action to maintain a patient's physiological status.
• Assist in moving patients from the operating room to the recovery area.
• Check patients periodically and take remedial measures to alleviate unfavorable post-anesthesia effects.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, pulmonary, vascular, and cardiac studies.
• Determine, set up, and prepare necessary drugs, supplies, and equipment for anesthesia administration.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Perform and maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient condition, nursing plan of care, and patient satisfaction needs.
• Promote and ensure patient and staff safety in all aspects of responsibilities.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current licensure as an Anesthetist in the state of Iowa.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
