Job Description

This position offers the opportunity to work as a Medical Coverage Nurse in various correctional facilities throughout Wisconsin. As a Medical Coverage Nurse, you will provide nursing care to inmates, support the medical needs of our patients, and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care.


Responsibilities:
  1. Assess patients' medical conditions and develop individualized care plans
  2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  3. Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to emergencies
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  5. Document patient interactions and medical interventions in electronic health records

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Current LPN or RN licensure in the state of Wisconsin
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a correctional setting or equivalent experience
