Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Pipe Fitter to join our team. As a Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for laying out, setting up, and connecting piping systems for tunnels, roadways, and drainage systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lay out and set up piping systems for tunnels, roadways, and drainage systems
- Cut, thread, and groove pipes in accordance with work drawings
- Construct dimensionally correct mock-ups for off-site prefabrication, read blueprints, fabricate stands and jigs, and create targets
- Construct piping systems within required tolerances
- Fabricate and design pipe hangars
- Move materials from the shop to the designated work area inside the tunnel
- Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and engineers
- Minimum of 5 years of pipe fitting experience
- Previous experience with 1-inch to 20-inch diameter pipes
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in piping system construction, repair, and maintenance
- Ability to interpret drawings and written instructions
- Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operation, and the environment will affect outcomes
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
