Position Overview

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking candidates for several full-time, non-tenure earning positions as instructors, lecturers, or associate lecturers. The selected individuals will be responsible for delivering courses in Computer Science and Information Technology. This role entails a comprehensive academic workload, comprising 7 courses throughout the academic year. The curriculum may encompass a variety of subjects within our undergraduate programs in Computer Science and Information Technology. We are particularly interested in candidates who can instruct in areas such as cybersecurity, networking, digital forensics, data science, mobile programming, data management technologies, discrete mathematics, computer science theory, algorithms, and programming across all levels.

Essential Qualifications:

Candidates must possess an earned master's degree (for instructor) or a doctorate (for lecturer) in Computer Science or a closely related field from an accredited institution by the commencement of the appointment. For the associate lecturer role, a doctorate in Computer Science or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution, along with five years of experience in a similar capacity at a four-year institution, is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in college-level teaching is highly desirable for all positions.
