Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Connecticut Institute for Communities, Inc. as part of our Women's Health Department. You will work closely with doctors, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to provide the highest standard of care to our patients. This full-time or part-time role offers a flexible schedule, with potential remote options for administrative days.
About the Role:
This LPN position involves working within the scope of your licensure to deliver exceptional patient care. Key responsibilities include gathering information for assessments and care planning, administering medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, monitoring vital signs and medical history, and assisting with physical exams and medical procedures as needed.
Patient Care Focus:
The successful candidate will prioritize patient education on healthcare topics, maintaining accurate and timely documentation of care, and collaborating with other departments as required. You will also provide triage services, using established protocols to determine the most appropriate care, including at-home management or scheduling medical visits. Additionally, you will contact specialists for letters and results, and help set up home therapies when necessary.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current LPN license in Connecticut
- Previous experience in pediatrics is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with bilingual capabilities encouraged
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Understanding of medical terminology and nursing protocols
- Experience with electronic medical records, preferably eClinical Works
