Job Summary:

We offer an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced professional to work with our client members and agents primarily in I to evaluate losses and exposures, and provide solutions to mitigate risks. As a Commercial Risk Mitigation Specialist, you will conduct on-site surveys to investigate and analyze risk exposures and loss experience with a heavy focus on commercial accounts, recommending solutions to assist client/members in avoiding or reducing loss.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate losses and exposures, providing solutions to mitigate risks
  • Conduct on-site surveys to investigate and analyze risk exposures and loss experience
  • Recommend solutions to assist client/members in avoiding or reducing loss
  • Provide risk assessment and risk improvement consultation on accounts of various sizes selected by factors including premium, loss experience, exposures, and other criteria
  • Facilitate loss control training programs, workshops, and/or seminars for client/members and agents

Requirements:

  • College degree or equivalent plus 5 years of relevant experience required
  • 3-5 years Loss Control or Safety Experience required
  • Continued progress towards industry education and maintenance of designations is expected (ARM, CSP, or other safety-related designation is a plus)
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills are required
  • Must have high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a good work ethic
  • Strong customer service and facilitation skills are required, including solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills are required to quickly learn multiple systems
  • Must be able to work under all kinds of weather conditions and perform safety and property inspections that may require moving over uneven terrain, climbing, and other physical tasks
  • Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record according to Fleet Safety guidelines

  • An estimated salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience
