This role is dedicated to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Key Responsibilities:

In alignment with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, delivers nursing care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for designated patients.
Addresses the increasingly intricate psychological, emotional, cultural, and social requirements of patients and their families in accordance with their level of expertise.
Administers medications and treatments following established protocols; monitors for side effects and the effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
Records patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Evaluates learning needs and offers education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and available resources.

Qualifications:
Experience:
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in the relevant nursing specialty
- Preferred: Completion of a Perinatal RN Residency or recent practice in a Perinatal Setting.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
- All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
- New hires will be precepted by a designated trained staff member, and initial onboarding requirements will be validated through successful completion of the designated organizational entry competency validation and a Perinatal Department-specific competency validation.
- Completion of all annual competency verification requirements.
- RN License in the state of employment or compact
- BLS certification required
- Current STABLE (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants) certification from an approved course at the time of hire or prior to the end of orientation for experienced nurses; within 90 days of hire for new graduates and experienced nurses new to the specialty, then required to maintain course certification thereafter.
- Current NRP certification at the time of hire for experienced nurses; within 60 days for new graduates and experienced nurses new to the specialty, then required to maintain certification thereafter.
