Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Midwife to join our team at the University of New Mexico. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care to women and their families, focusing on pregnancy, childbirth, and post-partum care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage women's health care, with a focus on pregnancy, childbirth, and post-partum care.
  • Practice within the healthcare system, performing consultation, collaborative management, or referral as needed.
  • Adhere to the Standards for the Practice of Midwifery, as defined by the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Midwifery or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in midwifery or a related field.
  • Certification/Licensure: New Mexico Department of Health CNM License (or eligible).
  • Valid license to practice as a registered nurse in New Mexico (or eligible).
  • Participation in the Certificate Maintenance Program with the American Midwifery Certification Board (or eligible).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional experience in midwifery or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
