Job Title: Donation Attendant

Join our team at Freedom Village Store in Sykesville, Maryland, as a Donation Attendant. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing an excellent customer experience, promoting sales, and ensuring the efficient processing of donations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accept and process donations from customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Label and organize donations in the production room or sales floor.
  • Ensure that each donor receives a receipt for their donation.
  • Identify and handle hazardous materials, providing customers with disposal options.
  • Process sales tickets and sold signs for large items.
  • Assist customers with loading and unloading merchandise.
  • Maintain the organization and placement of merchandise in the production room.
  • Assist with loading and unloading merchandise onto/off trucks or trailers.
  • Operate pallet jack and walkie stacker safely.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections on company equipment.
  • Perform floor care duties as needed.
  • Participate in cross-training for other store positions as required.

Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to pass a forklift certification class.
  • Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
