Banner Health, a leading healthcare network, is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team at the Banner - University Medicine Obesity and Bariatric Surgery Center in Phoenix, AZ.
About the PositionThis dynamic opportunity offers a unique blend of clinical and surgical experience, supporting the comprehensive care and management of bariatric patients. As an APP, you will:
- Round on patients in the hospital to ensure seamless care transitions
- See patients in the clinic for personalized education and support
- Provide first-assist in the OR under the guidance of our experienced bariatric surgeons

About Our TeamBanner Health's Bariatric Surgery Program is nationally accredited by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP). Our team has over 5,000 bariatric surgical patients' worth of experience, ensuring that each patient receives expert, individualized care.
QualificationsWe seek candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Board Certification as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of Arizona
- Current prescribing privileges, including a DEA license for controlled substances
- Experience with Gastrointestinal Medicine, Bariatric Surgery, and/or Medical Weight Loss is preferred
Banner Health offers a competitive salary, ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
