Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at STA of New York, Inc. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex operations on large commercial vehicles, including engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough, accurate preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Complete all required maintenance operations, including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation.
  • Perform unscheduled maintenance as needed, following schedules and OEM standards.
  • Diagnose mechanical defects and perform emergency roadside services.
  • Document repairs and parts on work orders completely and accurately.
  • Maintain tools and workplaces in a neat and orderly condition.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or mechanic.
  • Accreditation from a school or certification program preferred.
  • Complete all training requirements.
  • Pre-employment background checks.
